My name is Gary and I am a senior studying computer engineering and the russian language. I have many hobbies including, but not limited to, chess, cybersecurity competitions, spikeball, frisbee golf, golf, Marvel, electronics, and programming. When it comes to CTF competitions, I mainly focus on crypto and hardware challenges. If I ever have the time, I like to work on my own side projects or learn a new skill! My main project for the club will be to continue and improve this club website and CTFBot on our Discord server.
When did you first get into cybersecurity?
I started a cybersecurity club with my high school physics teacher in 2017. I had no idea what I was doing, but I feel like I have come a long way since then :)
What is your favorite annual CTF?
Either redpwnCTF or Hack-a-Sat
What is your favorite CTF category?
Which OS do you use for all-things cybersecurity?
Well, I use Ubuntu for Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) most of the time since it’s quick to boot up. I should really just go full Linux, but I haven’t made that leap yet.
